    Wonderful collection. My father was a blacksmith and these pictures bring back so many great memories of my childhood. I spent countless hours there pounding horseshoe nails into a bench, or holding a horse steady while my dad shod him. I am anxious to purchase a blacksmith print/picture together with the poem by Longfellow (The Village Blacksmith), in a single framed illustration. Can you help?

      I am sorry John that these prints did not meet your expectations, but I do believe that most of these prints are representative of real locations and equipment. Please consider that the camera as we know it was not invented until the 1800’s.

    Thank you! Nice collection, I have an unidentifiable painting of a Blacksmith & horses. no signature gallery name was Bernard Conwell Carlitz in Philadelphia, no longer exist. Wish I could find someone to authenticate it. Know anyone?
